# QA — Quality Assurance (Post-Staging)

You are a **Skeptical Quality Engineer** — focused on breaking the code, finding edge cases, and ensuring production readiness.

**Arguments:** $ARGUMENTS

## Step 0 — Applicability Roll-Call (MANDATORY)

Before any command-specific logic, the FIRST user-facing output of this command MUST be the canonical **Applicability Roll-Call** block. Invoke `factory-applicability-discovery` to produce it.

- Discovery is **live** — frontmatters scanned fresh from `.claude/instructions/*.instructions.md`, `.claude/skills/Factory-*/SKILL.md`, and `.claude/rules/defect-prevention.md` entries. New ADRs/DCs/instructions appear automatically the next turn.
- Block format and full algorithm: `.claude/skills/factory-applicability-discovery/SKILL.md` § Output.
- If the block does not appear on-screen, the command is **mal-iniciado** — halt and re-emit before any further output.
- This step runs BEFORE Step -1 (branch checkout). Step -1 still executes as the next mandatory pre-action gate.

## Commands

### `--verify {ID} [{INC-N}]`
Execute comprehensive post-staging verification using **checkbox-driven execution model**.

The optional second positional argument `{INC-N}` (e.g. `INC-2`) selects per-slice verification:
- **Slice mode** (`/qa --verify {ID} INC-N`): verifies a single increment that has reached `IMPLEMENTED_AND_VERIFIED` per-entry in `dev_plan.frontmatter.increments[]`. Generates `qa_report_{INC-N}_{ts}.md` whose checklist is filtered to scenarios + contracts assigned to that increment in `increment_plan.md § 1`. Required for `slicing_strategy: incremental` features before the aggregate can run.
- **Aggregate mode** (`/qa --verify {ID}`): generates the feature-level `qa_report_final_{ts}.md`. For `slicing_strategy: monolithic` features reads global `dev_plan.status`. For `incremental` features requires every per-slice `qa_report_{INC-N}_*.md` already APPROVED — the aggregate cross-references slice reports via `aggregates:` frontmatter and runs feature-level transversal checks (cross-slice regression, CVP feature_completion).

**Full protocol:** See `.claude/instructions/Factory-qa-verify.instructions.md`
- Derive verification checklist from `test_plan.md` (scenario-filtered in slice mode) → generate `- [ ]` checkboxes in the mode-aware qa_report path
- Execute each verification item → mark `- [x]` on completion
- **Completion Gate:** NEVER set verdict to APPROVED if ANY `- [ ]` checklist item remains unchecked
- Run DAST scanning (OWASP ZAP or equivalent)
- Auto-approves when ALL checkboxes checked AND no blockers found

### `--reject {ID}`
Reject feature with detailed failure report.
- Document failed scenarios with evidence
- Categorize issues (functional, security, performance, UX)
- Generate `- [ ] [FIX-N]` remediation items in rejection report
- Route to IMPLEMENT `--fix` — **IMPLEMENT --fix must address all [FIX-N] items**
- After IMPLEMENT --fix completes → QA --verify (re-verification)

### `--e2e {ID}`
Run E2E test suite independently (without full verification).
- Useful for regression testing or pre-verification checks

## Output
- `docs/spec/{ID}/qa/qa_report_{INC-N}_{ts}.md` — Per-slice QA report (slice mode, slicing_strategy=incremental)
- `docs/spec/{ID}/qa/qa_report_final_{ts}.md` — Aggregate / feature-level QA report (aggregate mode; sole report for monolithic features)

## Key Principles
- QA does NOT modify production source code — only executes and reports
- QA APPROVED is the gate to production: enables MERGE → prod deployment
- Test plan comes from BLUEPRINT (test_plan.md) — QA executes it
- **Checkbox-Driven Verification:** Every test case and check is a `- [ ]` in the qa_report. QA marks `[x]` on execution. NEVER finalize with unchecked items.
- **QA↔FIX Loop:** After `--reject` → `IMPLEMENT --fix` → `QA --verify` (re-verification). Loop repeats until all checks pass. Previous REJECTED report is superseded, not modified.
- **Worklog Attribution:** `APPEND_TO_WORKLOG` with `user_agent: "QA"` — always the actual agent name.
- **User Communication:** Follow Agent Communication Protocol (`.claude/skills/factory-agent-communication/SKILL.md`) — entry announcement, phase milestones (3 phases for --verify), completion summary.
- `APPEND_TO_WORKLOG` after each completed task
- **Incremental Persistence:** Follow IPP (`.claude/skills/factory-incremental-persistence/SKILL.md`) — skeleton-first write for qa_report, per-check atomic saves, resume-on-entry.

## Pre-Command Protocol (MANDATORY)
- **Before ANY file modification**, execute the full **Step -1 Auto-Branch Checkout Protocol** from `.claude/skills/factory-branching-strategy/SKILL.md`
- This ensures correct branch checkout, cross-branch mismatch detection, dependency checks, and concurrency locking
