OpenGenes

This MCP server provides access to the OpenGenes database containing aging and longevity research data across four main tables: experimental lifespan data from genetic interventions in model organisms, aging-related gene criteria classifications, hallmarks of aging associations, and population genetics longevity data from human studies. Built by the Longevity Genie organization using Python with FastMCP and SQLite, it automatically downloads the latest database from Hugging Face Hub and enforces read-only access with comprehensive SQL injection protection. The implementation features intelligent query guidance for multi-value fields, proper result ordering by effect magnitude, cross-table analysis capabilities, and extensive example queries, making it valuable for researchers, bioinformaticians, and AI assistants working with aging research data who need structured access to gene-longevity relationships, experimental outcomes, and population genetics findings.
