Yap (Yet Another Packager) is a multi-distribution Linux package builder that generates .deb, .rpm, .apk, and .pkg.tar.zst files from a single PKGBUILD specification. Builds run in isolated OCI containers (Docker or Podman) for reproducibility, with support for cross-compilation, package signing, SBOM generation (CycloneDX 1.5 and SPDX 2.3), and parallel dependency-sorted builds. The MCP server exposes the full build pipeline to any MCP-compatible client.
