This MCP integration connects the Rive Editor to AI tools through the Model Context Protocol, enabling AI assistants to automate repetitive design tasks like creating complex View Models, State Machines with hundreds of states and layers, Layouts, and Shapes. Currently available in the Early Access version of the Mac Desktop app with Windows support coming, it works with MCP-compatible AI tools like Cursor and requires the Rive Early Access app to be running to provide the server connection at localhost:9791/sse. Users can prompt the AI to generate complex Rive components and must type "End Prompt" to allow the AI to make changes to the Rive file, making it valuable for designers who want to accelerate their workflow by delegating time-consuming setup tasks to AI while maintaining creative control over the final output.
