This TrueNAS Core MCP server enables natural language control of TrueNAS storage systems through comprehensive API integration, supporting both basic operations like user management, pool status monitoring, and dataset creation, as well as advanced Phase 2 features including ZFS property management, Unix/ACL permission control, and Kubernetes storage provisioning. Built by Vinnie Esposito using FastMCP and httpx, it provides specialized tools for creating NFS exports and iSCSI targets with auto-generated Kubernetes StorageClass manifests, automated snapshot policies with retention management, and seamless integration with container orchestration platforms.
